Ordering Information

We have strived to make the ordering details presented here as current and complete as possible, to provide for an efficient online ordering experience. However, you are always welcome to contact us for personal assistance with anythnig which requires clarification.

Catalog Content

As the one-stop source for all music in print for so many customers around the globe, we will always be happy to work with you to supply anything that you require.

The searchable catalog includes the full range of publications from E. F. Kalmus, Masters, Ludwig, Thompson Edition, Musica Rara, Brass Press, BIM, Alphonse Leduc, Hamelle and Heugel, as well as a few popular items from other publishers whose titles we distribute.

Please note, however, that in addition to these items, we can also supply virtually any publication in print, regardless of the publisher. Therefore, should you not locate the work you are seeking, please do email us with your needs, and we will be happy to reply with a no-obligation quote.

There are also a few items, specifically in Kalmus Classic Edition which – while in the database and warehouse – may not currently appear on a search. So please reach out if you do not locate any title that you are seeking.

Delivery Times / Service Levels / Shipping Options

Most orders are processed and shipped from our Florida headquarters within 24 hours after receipt, and many orders ship the same day they are received. However, some of the less popular titles must be prepared once ordered, and a few publications may need to ship from other locations.

Therefore, we ask that you please do always allow plenty of time for delivery of your order, and that you make use of the upgraded service options for any orders which are particularly time-sensitive, since such orders not only receive priority shipping but also priority handling prior to shipment – and even priority customer assistance.

Please bear in mind that any automated time estimates are not guaranteed and the actual delivery time may vary depending on a number of factors, sometimes beyond our control. But if there are any concerns with specific deadlines, please contact us by email to keep us informed.

Our automated checkout system will always try to provide the best shipping options, but if ever there is a concern with the options given, or if the cost seems to be problematic, you are welcome to request that we look into the options. Sometimes we can manually update the shipping method to improve the delivery time or cost – especially for international orders where the address is in an urban area, rather than a more remote destination.

You may check the status of an order online at any time by following the link included in the emailed order confirmation, or by entering your invoice number and email address on the Order Status page.

Payment Options

For your convenience, we encourage you to use our secure web cart checkout system. However, if you prefer, you are also always very welcome to contact us by email, indicating the exact materials required, the preferred shipping address, and the date by which delivery is needed, and we can provide a pro forma invoice for your consideration. Payment may then be made either online or offline.

Online payments may be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card, or PayPal. Bank transfers may be made from any country, in many cases to local accounts in 19 different currencies. We also can accept checks denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank.

We welcome online payments in all major currencies, and invite you to select the currency which is most convenient for you. If your currency is not listed, please just let us know and we can, in most cases, add it. There is no surcharge for payments in a currency other than the U.S. dollar, and exchange rates are updated regularly.

Institutional Customers

If educational or professional institutional customers require additional documentation or registration to complete an order using their purchase order system, please contact us and we will be happy to assist with that.

Global Shipping

Almost all of our products may be ordered for shipping anywhere in the world. However, please note that it is ultimately the responsibility of the customer to ensure that any items they import are in compliance with the laws of their own country.

Most items ship from our Florida headquarters, and are rarely subject to any customs issues or fees, based on the way in which they are declared and processed. However, in the unlikely event that a country does choose to apply some tax or fee, that will be the responsibility of the recipient.

Sales Tax

Our system will only apply sales tax to shipments requesting delivery in Florida. Any customers in Florida who have a right to exemption from sales tax are welcome to contact us by email, and we can adjust that manually.

Order Notifications

If you do not receive an automated email confirming receipt of your order and providing the invoice number, that message will have likely been blocked by your email system - that is unfortunately a very common issue. You needn't be concerned that your order has been received and processed, but you are welcome to contact us by email to request a PDF copy of your invoice.

Extra Parts and Custom Scores

Individual parts are available for most publications in our catalog, and generally those are set up for online ordering. However, if an item is not listed, please contact us and we will be glad to assist with that.

Note that for many orchestral works, XL scores (generally 11" x 14" – 28 x 36 cm) can be prepared if desired. Some of those are included in the database for online ordering, but you are always welcome to request a quotation if one is not already listed.

Please bear in mind that for most large-ensemble works, the conductor scores are sold separately from the set of parts. So remember to add the score to your shopping cart if it is needed. For smaller chamber music titles, when a score is available it is generally included with with the set, and that is often specified in the database. But if there are any questions in that regard, let us know.

Special Extractions

For most large works, especially operas and ballets, arias or excerpts are already prepared and included in the catalog. However, when a different excerpt is required, it is sometimes possible for that to be prepared specifically for your order. You are welcome to email us with any such requests.

Substitutions

Please note that in a few cases, in order to ship orders quickly in circumstances where a rarely-requested title is temporarily out of print, we may substitute an identical or virtually-identical edition. That will be the case only with reprint publications, and not urtext editions or modern revisions.

Rental/Hire

We now handle all publications from the Kalmus catalog on a sale basis only, having concluded that any short-term savings associated with rentals are insufficient to justify the additional handling time on the part of both our clients and ourselves, and the additional transportation costs.

So, all materials will become a permanent part of your library for future use.

A few select works from the Thompson Edition line are still handled on a rental basis. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us.

Returns and Cancelations

Due to the print-on-demand nature of many titles, orders for music may not be canceled once placed, and items may not be returned. In the unlikely event a defective or incorrect item is received, please contact us for replacement.

Books, recordings and mouthpieces shipped as ordered are not returnable unless defective. Cases, mutes and other accessory items may be returned in new condition within 14 days of receipt for a full refund of the price paid less the outbound shipping cost.

Minimum Counts

Generally we are glad to assist with orders of any size needed, even if that is a lone one-page triangle part.

There are only a couple of exceptions to note. For Leduc, Hamelle and Heugel choral scores, there is a minimum quantity of fifteen copies for any given title. For Breitkopf choral scores, there is a minimum quantity of twenty copies.
